DFA is excited to announce a new addressing resource for New Mexico, called the New Mexico Addressing Handbook! DFA developed this handbook to support local addressing staff and will ensure it remains viable over time by establishing an annual update process. The handbook includes an addressing manual, template addressing documents, and reports which will be developed over time. This resource is intended for both inexperienced and experienced addressors.
The handbook can be downloaded here: New Mexico Addressing Handbook and it is available for download on our GIS website. There is also a video walkthrough for navigating the document and included a link to the video on the handbook’s cover page.
DFA wants to acknowledge the key role Spatial Focus played in creating this resource, as they worked diligently to create much of its content. They are now working with DFA on a project to provide guidance for each individual local government, which DFA will make available in the handbook’s ‘Reports’ section upon project completion.
